Galgos Project
We started this project by looking at the abuse of greyhounds living across the world. We examined the various issues they deal with, both present and past. The specific area we targeted was Spain where greyhounds are seen as pests. They are overbred here to make the perfect racing or hunting dog.
The first thing I did was read a book which covered the basic facts of the abuse. I decided that I would try to raise money for this issue by selling t-shirts. For the t-shirts I used a plain black t and put a animated picture of the world with a white greyhound on the world.
One challenge we had was where to sell the t-shirts, after talking with Crystal we decided we would sell them at exhibition. The other challenge I ran into was full involvement of the other people who were helping. I did almost all the work to raise money, but was rewarded the same as everyone else.
During this project my greatest strength was organization. I had to use organization to make our information pamphlets and balance financials. For the financials I made a sheet for people to place their orders and organized how much money I would need to purchase them.
